Like ‘80s “Alternative” music but loathe going to clubs that play Bon Jovi, Culture Club, Michael Jackson & Tiffany?! Tried the “Goth” clubs but don’t like the electro crap, deep cuts and obscure record collector euro avant-synth shit they try to impress you with?! Well, my friends, I give you Poseurs Club! The theme is that of Poseurs (RIP), a legendary “New Music” club that existed in Washington, DC ‘83-‘89 and where I first danced to this music with other people (not just in my bedroom alone anymore). You’ll hear just what new wavers, punks, goths, skins and other alternative sub culture types were hearing in clubs back in ‘89. Nothing but the best tunes from various non-mainstream genres including Dark Wave, Alternative, Ska, Industrial, New Romantic, Goth, Punk, New Wave, Post Punk, College Rock, Synth Pop, Modern Rock, Shoegaze etc...from artists like Siouxsie & The Banshees, Killing Joke, Ministry, English Beat, Bauhaus, The Smiths, Joy Division, Ramones, Blondie, The Cult, Fugazi, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, New Order, Madness, Bowie, Iggy Pop, Public Image Ltd., Echo & The Bunnymen, Love and Rockets, Duran Duran, Prince, Depeche Mode, Happy Mondays, Nitzer Ebb, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Elvis Costello, The Church, Madonna, Psychedelic Furs, Billy Idol, The Specials, The Replacements, Joe Jackson, Dinosaur Jr, The Pixies, Fishbone, Ride, Stone Roses and many, many more! Plus an ‘80s Hair & Make Up station and .80 cent drinks during All songs by The Cure!!! Tell your friends!!!
