Terry Malts
"San Francisco's Terry Malts have been a mysterious presence on the local scene for a while now. Popping up with great regularity on gigs around town, they come, they slay, then they disappear into the dark night. Their tunes are catchy like fishhooks, jumping off from such familiar touchstones as early DIY punk, Creation records patented brand of noise pop and New Zealand indie rock, somehow arriving at an energetic modern power-pop/punk amalgam. It's a time-honored pop recipe, leavened by the band's top-notch song-writing and their barely-concealed fondness for 70s and 80s bubblegum. Terry Malts are your friends, you just don't know them yet."

"Bay Area buzz pop band. Manic pop heart ache and minimalist misanthropy you can sing along to."
Banzai Cliff
Banzai Cliff
Banzai Cliff started accidentally in 2016, after songwriter Nicky K sat down to write what he thought was going to be a punk album but what ended up being a bunch of bedroom pop songs about weed and Keanu Reeves movies. Makes sense if you know him. After linking up with Davey Ulrich of Davey & The Chains, Banzai Cliff was born. The band is named after a WWII memorial site on the island of Saipan, Nicky's family home, which is a very lovely place that everyone should visit.
