The Blessings
The Blessings
The Blessings' Record Release Show for their new EP, Shipwrecked!

"Twisting and turning the screws of rock n' roll, mixing and matching their love of classic rock and blues to heightened degrees, The Blessings fix a groove and style that tips a fedora to their heroes as much as it works a very personalized take on the deep reaches of rock n roll culture. The perennials are recognized - a bit of the Rolling Stones, a touch of Hollywood Brats, Chuck Berry, Faces, and some Humble Pie - giving context to their brand of wailing white soul music, a swagger drunk lean, grinning for gold.

The Blessings release unto the world their second full length, Tomahawk Inn, advancing their sound and image beyond mere past musical directives. It bleeds to it's own beat - the ragged to tight barroom soaked rock n roll with hard rock tendencies, blister bent guitars gnashing against vocals blasting heart over matter. Opener "She Thinks She Loves Me" displays all of these things neatly, giving you the full Blessings experience at first bang. Include a sort of outdoor, breezy, summer day, arena rock vibe, and the prejudices are clear-The Blessings want you, and they want you now. With heart on sleeve and hat in hand, there is as much a singular approach ignited by artistic reach as there is commercial ambition in song, style, and want. The Blessings are a rock n roll band." - Frankie Delmaine

"Successfully revivifying the classic sound with a slinky groove combination of mastery and enthusiasm that makes it
sound totally fresh." - Michael Toland, Blurt Magazine
Natural Pear
Natural Pear
There’s an old saying in Oklahoma, “The greener the pear, the sweeter the juice”, and even though that’s completely backwards, so are you. Almost all of our songs are played forwards, so don’t let a little dust & sunshine worry you none, this is what we do in California.
Now, back to repairing this whistle…
