“One of the first and finest bands to emerge from San Francisco's punk scene & major inspiration in a scene that flourished long after they broke up. Singer Penelope Houston was one of the pioneering women of American punk.” Mark Deming Allmusic

The Pathogens
The Pathogens
“…Double vocal attack! Comprised of east bay punk champions, The Pathogens put their pedigree to excellent use. The Pathogens are able to walk a tightrope anchored by heavy social messages on one end and whimsical chaos on the other...” -John Gentile, PunkNews.org

The Pathogens are an up and coming band from Oakland CA comprised of beloved punk veterans who have been honing their respective talents in the incubator of the Bay Area music scene for years. Formed in 2015, The Pathogens have spurred a buzz with their provocative, high energy shows. Jesse Luscious (Blatz, The G’rups, The Criminals) and Cinder Block (Tilt, Retching Red) co-front an assault on the audience with, shrewd lyrics, blazing vocals, and wild pit antics. They are flanked by bandmates guitarist Sebastian Stewart (The Twots, The Undead Boys,) drummer Markley Hart (Econochrist, Strychnine,) lead guitarist Noah Weber (Everything Must Go, Zero Bullshit) and bassist Jovino Bunny (Utmost Something.) This stellar cast burns brilliantly through a tight set lurching from hardcore to melodic punk and back again, which, to quote Revelation Records, “conjures up images of circle pits in abandoned warehouses...”
Dreadful Children
Dreadful Children
"Hailing from Seattle Washington, there is no trite slapback of the Nirvana-era here. Dreadful Children champion the unlikely equation of Iron Maiden–esque riffery and the Toy Dolls' sense of bouncy, infectious absurdity and somehow create a mad-scientist hybrid that totally kills! "
- The Stranger

"Gracing the stage before Stoned Evergreen Travelers was one of my favorite Seattle punk bands, Dreadful Children. This is another band that has evolved beautifully over time. Like a good wine, they get more flavorful over time. Spicy would be a good way to describe them.

This is also a band that defies stereotypes in that they have a female guitar player (Lizzie Franks) who also trades off on lead vocals as well as providing harmony. Her voice is smooth and sweet and the perfect contrast to the grungy vocals of Lonny Bristle. Add Johnny Mischief on bass and Kevn Labarre on drums (whose ginger locks whipped about in such a frenzy he almost looked like he had a flame thrower on his head) and you have a clue of what you’re in for when seeing Dreadful Children play. They are well worth the effort of a trek to whatever club they happen to shake up next." - East Portland Blog
