Lil' Elephant
Lil' Elephant
Lil' Elephant is an unconventional Oakland ensemble bringing original tunes to stages of all sizes throughout the Bay Area.
A labor of love several years in the making, this band of four motley miscreants fuses funk, rock, roll, rap, and classical influences into an exceptional and eclectic musical shmorgasboard. Major influences include The Doors, Funkadelic, In Flames, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. You’ll find your feet tapping and your hips swaying before you know it.
The Gentleman Amateurs
The Gentleman Amateurs
The Gents retain an organic musical aesthetic and a dogged do-it-yourself work ethic, opting for sweat and grit over the smoke and mirrors of modern production. Their songs are bright and upbeat, with soul-inflected hooks, tight grooves, and snappy brass. They have the raw energy of rock, the sweetness of soul, and the sophistication of jazz, all drizzled over a bed of funk. Fronted by the disarmingly talented Sam Jackson, the Gents present a sound that is fresh, funky, and frayed around the edges.

The Human Assembly Project
The Human Assembly Project
Formed from the ruins of a pseudo spiritual hedonist musical cult experiment known as Hopi Astronaut, The Human Assembly aka The HA, came to life in the summer of 2014. They've pillaged sounds from modern classics such as Iggy Pop, Waylon Jennings and The Rolling Stones to create the Beach-Funk Americana sound that is uniquely their own. Surf guitar, organ and keys fuse with an upbeat percussion and furious blues harmonica to bring what these beach-bum philosophers refer to as “good time party music”. Though light hearted and jesting on stage, The HA is also serious about bringing some good to the world through their philanthropic Party with Purpose method of bundling fundraisers or food drives with great live shows.
No Lovely Thing featuring Melissa Jones
No Lovely Thing featuring Melissa Jones
No Lovely Thing is a seven piece funk & soul band from Oakland, CA. Led by singer Melissa Jones’ percussive melodies, the band brings elements of blues, ska, reggae & jazz into the mix, leaving room for improvisation, giving each song the chance to blow up. The band has been compared to Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Sly & The Family Stone, The White Stripes and Alabama Shakes.
